Marg and I took up camping in 1985 because we both love the Australian bush, the country air and all the other things the ‘great outdoors’ brings you. It also gave us a chance to be by ourselves, away from a busy houseful of friends, girlfriends and anyone else who felt free to walk in.

Western Australia – first days

20 January 2002: Nullarbor Roadhouse – Caiguna

Into WA for our first time – we have now officially been to every state & territory of Australia!

Extensive quarantine on the border involving the loss of honey, lettuce and zucchini. Stop at Cocklebiddy Cave where we descend into an amazing underground lake some 150 metres into the earth. Then onto Caiguna, our 3rd timezone for the day) for an overnight stop.
