Bit of a tricky one in the saddle in order to get from Lake Königssee to Luzern. Leave 8am; two bus trips and two train trips later we arrive via Innsbruck and Zurich at 6:30pm (as scheduled by the masters of chronology) for our Luzern Sojourn. Apropos of comfort, a lot to be said for first class, long distance train travel!

Now, where were we viz-a-viz dialogue the last time I/we corresponded? I believe taking moderate refreshment at the Arthurhaus and a day’s break from trekking parts of the Bavarian Alps in climes fit for purpose but perhaps unusual for the local population, who have had to put away their snow shoes and don the thongs!

Presently having a break at Arthurhaus, eating a Bavarian cold meat and cheese plate accompanied by a half litre of their (current) finest – Stiegl. It’s lunchtime. More on this soon but first let me retrace our steps several months.
